Arsenic etc in veg, rice, it's everywhere oh my!

I've done a little searching and not found much. Is there any data that you know of that shows for example significantly higher rates of arsenic caused cancers and other diseases in rice eating populations, like mainland Chinese? Might be difficult to separate out from other causes but I have not hear of any. Chocolate/cacao--cadmium caused diseases say in the Swiss where chocolate is their national vegetable? Sounds silly I know but serious question. The entire world is getting increasingly polluted and "dangerous", but I would think that anyone eating predominantly whole plant foods is going to be low on the risk scale.
