Nausea and ginger ale

Postby Lyndzie » Wed Nov 08, 2017 11:39 am

Hi Jeff.

When I was a kid and had an upset stomach, my parents would give me Sprite or ginger ale, and it seemed to help. Is there a healthier alternative? Do you have a recommendation?

Many thanks!

Ginger has anti-nausea properties and that is why they used to give ginger all. Today, most ginger-ale has no ginger in it but ginger flavoring and is fairly high in sugar.

The "non-drowsy" version of Dramimine, contains just 500 mg of powdered ginger.

There are also pure ginger powder teas.

These are some fairly good review articles on the issue
