Hemorrhagic stroke

Postby Doug_ » Wed Jul 26, 2017 7:20 am

Jeff, I recall reading about higher rates of hemorrhagic stroke among those with low cholesterol and higher sodium intake. Do we know if higher sodium intake is likely causal, or so far only a marker for higher hemorrhagic stroke rates? I'm sure it's unlikely that an experiment on a population with low cholesterol has been done to see what different sodium intakes did, but perhaps a mechanism has been identified?
