Sparkling water

Postby LarryB » Thu Apr 20, 2017 10:16 pm

After returning from the recent ten-day program, I gave up diet coke and started drinking plain sparkling water made from my Sodastream. I know it's a bit acidic. Realistically, do I have to worry about this or limit my intake? Many thanks!

Just saw this.

Two things..

1) The discussion over pH is not in regard to the pH of an item as consumed but the Potential Renal Acid Load (PRAL) which is impact of the food after its digested. You can read more about that here

2) Carbonated water is not a concern. Enjoy it. :)
