Hi Jeff,
I know you say that organic isn't necessary, so for convenience I went out and stocked up on regular frozen produce. When I got home I noticed that the frozen legumes were from China! I live in Toronto Canada. That prompted me to check all the other bags and this is what I found:
The frozen berries are from Poland.
The frozen kale is from Equador.
The frozen broccoli is from Mexico. So are the bags of mixed vegetables.
Not one bag of frozen vegetables or fruit is from Canada or the USA. I don't know why all of a sudden this is happening in Canadian supermarkets because until very recently, almost all the produce in Canada was either from Canada or imported from the USA. My question to you is, does it matter? Does where the food comes from matter as far as it being healthy and safe to eat? Or am I overthinking this too?
