If DHA doesn't have a protective effect, why the ratio still

I'm just now realizing this. Turns out taking DHA supplements doesn't reduce heart disease as scientists first expected? If that doesn't prevent the inflammation and other issues expected from low DHA, why the advice to have a good omega-6:omega-3 ratio still? Just brain health? Or is the vascular system still supposed to benefit?

There is a difference between foods and supplements

I would also recommend reviewing my threads on the ratio.
