Thanks, Katie - mom's doing better.
It's incredible how Mom bounces back from things at age 94.

As far as my friend is concerned, losing a son is rough - I can't imagine.

Feb. 21

Potato Day!

I boiled a bunch of potatoes last night to keep in the fridge.

Breakfast: 4 potatoes (small redskins)

Lunch: salad of iceberg lettuce, cucumbers, onions and peppers, bag of carrots, cauliflower and broccoli, 4 potatoes (small redskins) and an apple.

Dinner: steamed spinach and (you guessed it) 4 potatoes (small redskins).

Lunch: Lunch: salad of iceberg lettuce, cucumbers, onions and peppers, bag of cauliflower and broccoli, rice and beans and a Sumo!

Dinner: Brown rice and salsa, broccoli, carrots and cauliflower.

Snack: One Honeybell

An "if you're hungry, eat" kind of day! :)

Breakfast - Breakfast: Oats with cinnamon and hot water (times 2 servings!)
snack: one Honeybell and one Sumo
Lunch: steamed kale and home fries
mid-day: rice and beans
Dinner: steamed boy choy and potato soup (3 bowls)

Lunch: Steamed spinach and oven fries.
Snack: One Sumo
Dinner: Mexican Rice Casserole (adapted from McDougall Recipes)
(not sure if the casserole should be considered 'unprocessed')

I went off the 'unprocessed' path. My wife made some pizza on whole wheat pitas with a bunch of yummy stuff like broccoli, cauliflower, spinach, onions, peppers, basil. I indulged..

Dinner: pizza and potato soup

Snack: One Honeybell and one Sumo

Snack: 2 boiled redskin potatoes, reheated, one Sumo

Dinner: Home fries (Yukon potatoes, cubed with peppers), Salad, fresh broccoli, steamed

Lunch: Salad (iceberg lettuce, spinach, kale, cucumbers, peppers), home fries (reheated)
Snack: one apple
Dinner: brown rice, steamed spinach, one Sumo!

Closing out February!
Mostly unprocessed!

I Have been following your unprocessed all month. Tell us did you lose any weight?How much? Do you feel much better,more in control? I may do this for March. Thanks it was interesting to read.RAS

Hi! I feel great! I went from 167.5 lbs. on Feb. 2 to 161 lbs. this morning (March 3).

Later in the month, I also stopped salting my food and drinking coffee.
I saw some improvement in blood pressure readings.
