Pregnant with Identical Twins at 42

Postby rjohnson79416 » Thu Jan 12, 2012 3:33 pm

Needless to say I'm nervous as can be expected. I have been following Dr. McDougall's advice of only taking vitamin B12. My diet was pretty healthy to start with but I have become even more stringent. I checked out the http://nutritiondata.self.com/ and found that most vegetables have folate in them so I should getting plenty of folic acid. I haven't had any morning sickness, but I didn't have any with my son either. He'll turn 21 in March so I guess you could say I'm starting over. I'm really nervous about TTTS but I'm trying to take it one day at a time. I will definitely be a roller coaster ride! :D We'll see what happens!

Wow, congratulations!

TTTS is fairly rare, from what I understand.

Breathe, take good care of yourself and relax - your diet is amazing and it can only help!

Thanks!

From what I have read TTTS occurs about 15% of the time which isn't real high but its still a concern. I'll be going for biweekly ultrasounds after 15 weeks so they should catch it if it becomes a problem.

I'm going to take it one day at a time.
