Oh Blondie your cat is adorable! I have 2 cats one is almost 15 and one is 3.Also a boxer 4yrs.They are all clowns.
Yes I know about lack of sleep.Working split shifts is not healthy.I should stick with one or the other, but with job scarsity (sp) I take what I can get...& feel blessed that I have a job.
So........Did we accomplish what we started out to do on Oct.1? I am more aware of sugars ,salt on labels.Already fat free.(only food wiise)not body content wise.LOL. love this board and you guys. RAS

Thanks for reading, all of you!
 Michelle, this week's on me!

Carollyne I think walking in the park is my favorite exercise. Thanks for the encouragement woods!

RAS, I used to work night shifts alot -- it is hard to eat right and get enough sleep sometimes! It sounds like you made some really positive steps this month!

Woods, thank you for your reminder -- my weight loss has slowed considerably these last couple months and I'm having a hard time being patient.

I got busy last evening and never got back here to post! I have a huge project due in one of my classes tomorrow that I need to work on this weekend, (designing a mock summer school college orientation class for college athletes, along with choosing a textbook, writing out 8 weekly assignments along with suggested readings/activities) I plan to really examine my progress for the month on Monday.

Yesterday I went to the park for a walk, 2 laps around the trail, I think that is a mile.
My food yesterday was good, but I ate Subway bread for dinner. :\
Breakfast was my usual oatmeal and green tea.
Lunch was a huge salad with beans and rice on the side
Snacks were a banana and some popcorn
Dinner was a subway veggie sub

blondie - Wow - huge assignment! And tough, for athletes! I bet you'll do great though. It's a given that I am somewhat demented, but to me it kind of sounds fun!

I love Subway. The veggie sub rules...with no mayo or oil of course..

What do you put on your popcorn. I have an air popper i use to put a little olive oil but i know better now ;)

You enjoy the rest of your weekend

Well I finished my assignment and turned it in with several hours to spare! The hardest part was choosing a textbook, just based on what little preview I could see online. I have really enjoyed this class, and the emphasis of my major is working with student athletes.

Vanessa, your dog is so cute!!! Someone posted a recipe for nacho noosh that I use on my popcorn -- I think it is 1 cup of nutritional yeast with a tbsp. each of chile powder, onion powder, and garlic powder, whizzed in the blender until the yeast is a fine powder. I use a spray bottle with water and give the popcorn a quick spritz of water so the powder sticks to the popcorn. It's yummy!

Yesterday's food was way off the chart -- I snacked all day and all of it was not McD-legal food. I haven't had a period for 5 years, but I swear sometimes it feels like PMS type cravings, so maybe I still have enough hormone fluctuations to feel a difference? IDK, maybe I was just reacting to stress from the big assignment I turned in today? Anyway, I'm feeling much more in control of myself today, and actually doing a 24 hour fast today. I ate breakfast as usual, and am having water and herb tea for the rest of the day until tomorrow's breakfast. It's 4:15 now, and I'm just beginning to get the tummy rumbles, haven't really thought about food until now. Breakfast was around 8:00 this morning.

Planning to make Cauliflower Potato soup tomorrow. I love broccoli potato soup - not sure where I got the recipe, and I was thinking about how people make mashed potatoes with cauliflower in it to increase their veggie intake -- so I'm planning to use 1/2 potatoes and 1/2 cauliflower, with lots of onion, garlic, and celery.

My fast today has gone well. I've been very busy this afternoon/ evening, so I didn't really have time to think about food!

Edited to add: My blood sugar this evening at 9:00 was 74 -- the lowest fasting blood sugar result I have EVER had!

Thanks Michelle - you've been such a good encourager to me this month!
I went back and re-read my October journal, and see that the main thing I have accomplished is moving a bit closer to MWL, though still not 100% adherent with that. I lost 3 lbs. this month, which is a bit of a disappointment, but it is what it is.

On to November and the holiday excursion! :D

Thanks Vanessa! You've been a wonderful encourager this month too, and I appreciate it! Are you or Michelle planning to participate in Mike Teehan's "Holiday Excursion"? There is a thread in the Lounge about it and we will be logging our food in a thread over in the Maximum Weight Loss section of the board. It starts tomorrow and I'm planning to do that, but I think I'll still keep on with a journal too.
