I believe that the no fat is a factor. But I am mightily impressed by T. Colin Campbell's thoughts on reductionism. There are so many things in our plant food, and they interact like a symphony in so many ways that we may never understand them all.

But I am convinced that we were designed to eat whole plant foods, and that through countless ways, our bodies know what to do with whole plant foods. The whole of the beneficial effects is greater than the sum of the parts.

I also don't think it is necessary to know exactly how this works. Eventually, we may know how this all works. But right now we know what we need to do. That, to me, is the message that our heroes are trying to blast through the noise. I think that, by trying to identify a single factor, we just get caught up in that reductionist nonsense and start arguing over minutiae.

Hi I agree with SactoBob that it is not just one thing that is bringing the bs down. It is the program as a whole.Plant based diet ROCKS!! RAS
