OMG, what a sweetie. Nothing can ever replace the pets we have lost, but the new additions are just that - additions. They add joy to our lives just by being there! Enjoy your new pup.

Is your new pup a boy or a girl and how old? He/she is beautiful. I know she will be very happy with you and your family.

Debbie. wrote:Thank you everyone!! I cant wait till the weekend to go get her. She is just so sweet. Her name right now, which was given to her by the rescue is Erin. We are leaning twards Alpine, but not totally sure yet. Obviously there is a connection with the name :D

Alpine is a mouthful. I think when you got Sierra that I suggested Sierra & Shasta. I always liked that name, it hasta be Shasta. Usually I end up shortening my names anyway, 2 syllables are hard to get out.

Can hardly wait to meet her!!

just don't call her Shasha...That was my nightmare "replacement" dog for Samantha which my husband at the time fed a chicken bone and she was dead by the morning and he wouldn't take us to the emergency vet. Bad time for me. That dog was a total nightmare!!!!! Her mom was a terrier, dad a lab. Psycho personality the entire time we had her. :-(
She bit me twice, bit my daughter twice, had to lock her in the bedroom if any of my customers came over. The only think I can say in her favor was that she alerted me to an aluminum wiring problem in my home by biting me! :D

we had a dog like that. Chip. He was surly and unhappy. when he snapped at my 18 month old son and cut open the skin on his nose, and I called the ER about it they said if it broke the skin, the dog MUST be tested for rabies and I gladly handed the animal over.

They kept him under observation for 10 days, and he didn't have rabies, but he had snapped at a keeper at the pound, too. I asked them to put him down. :( Unhappy animal.

I love dogs, too, but I never liked that one.

I know your new dog is going to be perfect for your family and I'm so thrilled for you, Debbie, that you found her in such an amazing and miraculous way! :)

Sorry you are feeling sick. Snuggle up with your new puppy and maybe you'll feel better. Have you picked out a name yet?
