Good going, KA. You'll get there!!!

I am presently just keeping a journal for myself and trying to monitor my weight, so it stays the same. I just got a new blender and am really enjoying making green smoothies. I don't do it all the time, but I have noticed that they give me a lot of energy.

That kale sounds interesting. My kale is growing, but it's kind of slow right now.

Hope you had a good weekend.

Yay Simoncat. There you are . I am glad you are okay. and I understand about keeping your own journal.
No worries but pleas stop by when you can and say hey and all that. And I will stop by yours too.

Also yay for the new blender. What kind did you get? I am finally ordering a new blade for mine it has been broken for a while but I need it for the banan ice cream LOL

and i am really wanting to try one of those green smoothie drinks. i
am intrigued by the idea of them. You two will have to share a couple of recipes with me. Usually when I make smothie type drinks I put in either a hand ful of frozen strawberries or apricots and another handful of what ever fruit I have on hand and some water and whir it into a frozen yummy shake. sometimes I use iced tea for the liquid.

Food for the day is
B: Oatmeal and Pear
L: Squash soup and sweet potato
D: Bean soup and Dinner Salad*** Recipe to follow***

So I have not been on here for a couple of days and am just sliding in to say
Woo Hoo Daughter and her Significant other are coming over tonight for dinner with us. I am going to grab some corn on the cob at the store and we are having smashed garlic/onion potatoes, and salad for me and her with extra turkey gravey and stuffing for the two non vegetarians my hubby and her boyfriend.

The only worry is .. My house is kind of messy  :\ Because I haven't cleaned for at least a week . So some how I need to sneak home for an hour in the middle of the day to tidy up.
Part of the problem is I cleaned out my linen closet on Sunday insteaad of cleaning the house... and now I have a pile in the dining room for donation . Of course the linen closet is AWESOME and Sparkly clean. but the rest of everything needs a dust a vaccuum and a swish of the mop. and the dish washe r turned on. I take several days to fill it and I prefer to be home when it is running.

anyway that is all the latest news.

Also I really have to get that nutritional yeast now.. I need something to replace my cheese adiction.. which I am still failing to eradicate. I am still having nibbles of it here and there.. and that really has to end.
SO I will now be ordering it online... there is no where else close by that has the Red Star kind.. and because of the gluten issue I will need to be carefull about either getting the red star or the bobs red mill kind. I think I will try each and see which one I like better.

Also have any of you tried Sietan... is that gluten free .. what does it taste like?????

So Daughter and her significant other came over last night... and she really picked a good guy. I really like him and I am so happy for her. WE had a lovely dinner.. and I stayed on track all day.

I almost had some cheese last night but I reminded myself when I was looking at it, that it was not going to help me to eat it.. There was nothing good that would come from eating it, and that it would just hinder me from my goals. So Score 1 for me and 0 for the cheese.

We all had potatoes and corn and salad. And the guys also had stuffing and turkey and gravey with theirs.
My daughter is a vegetarian... so we just had the potatoes and vegetables.

As a parent with two grown kids I have to say I really enjoy seeing my girls when I get the chance. They are so wonderful, I know spoken like a MOM, but I think my girls turned out wonderful.

Anyway she went through the last couple boxes of her stuff we have and so I have her stuff added to my pile for give away and she took the stuff she really wanted. Which means even more stuff cleared out of the house. YAY!!!!

The black pearl is in Moss Landing this weekend and Hubby and I are going to go over and take a tour tomorrow or Sunday. I will post pictures. I really want to go out sailing on her if we can afford it. They are giving 3 hour rides to people.

Hi everyone. I am back to posting in the journals. I took a bit of a break and over the holidays too. I survived with one week of weight gain but that is allmost gone now and i am back to 170 and expect to be back to 169 by next saturday. Also back to exercising lol i have been pretty sporadic over the holidays.

So all teh exciting news is i finally got some nutritional yeast. I wasnt sure about it at first but it tastes good so i will be trying the cheesy sauce next and debbies cheesy gravy too.

I also scored a mcdougall quick and easy cookbook at the whole foods market in monterey.

Also for the next two weeks i am doing the mcdougall free twelve day program. I really just need a break from thinking constantly about food and what am i going to cook next lol.

Anyway hello everyone. Hope you are having a great time and the kitties send their purrs to you.
