I’m sorry for your loss. It sounds like your plate is full. My thoughts are with you during this difficult time.

~WHEW~ It has been a month already! Thank you Toadfood and Letha for your kinds words. They were a balm.

Dad's surgery went well but the second day (yesterday) after surgery he wasn't doing so great. I'm back at work and waiting to hear how he's doing today.

My upward weight climb seems to have stopped and the scale is shifting downward once again. Probably because I shifted my eating back to a whole-food, plant-based. Funny how that is --- eat healthy = get healthy = lose excess weight. Hmmmmm....

At this point, exercise is non-existent. I have plans of starting back to treadmill in the mornings next week. I KNOW once I start moving again, the weight will drop off.

Glad to hear your dad made it through surgery OK. Hope the follow-up goes well. Good job on choosing healthy food during difficult circumstances. Your efforts to take care of yourself will help give you the strength you need to navigate these challenges. Best wishes.

Starting reading a book called "Keeping It Off" by Robert H. Colvin and Susan C. Olson. This book was mentioned in the other book I've been reading "Thin for Life". ~I like to read~ :P

141 by 41 - are you still out there? I just finished this book. Published in 1985! And really enjoyed it.

No magic diet plans - just an exploration of folks that had lost weight and kept it off for over 5 years.

I found this post a while ago - and only recently ordered the book used as my library did not have it. Not quite sure how I found the post.

Hope all is well with you.
