post walking heart rate?

Postby papayahead » Sat Apr 30, 2016 10:07 am

Hi,

I walk about 2 hours everyday, the pace is around 18 minutes per mile (not very fast, but in the heat sometimes). I have noticed that my heart rate is still around 85-100bpm an hour after the walk. My resting heart rate in the morning is 65-75bpm. so it seems to me my heart takes longer to recover... do you see similar thing in your exercise routine? I don't feel any uncomfortable, just curious if this could be an issue that I should bring up to my doctor?

my heart rate during the walk (with stretching arms at the same time) is 130bpm on a cool day and 20 more on a hot day...

been walking 4 years, no medication...

I guess my "normal" post-walk heart rate is higher than others?

thanks for any insight on potential heart issue...
