brown rice

Postby wectmall » Thu Jun 07, 2018 1:29 pm

Hi! I am very new to this and really want to give it a great try. I have read all of the info for newbies, but I am a bit confused about a few things. First, I see that we can eat brown rice. Is it ok to buy any brand? Can I buy the quick 10 minute brown rice? Also, I cannot find anything on portion size or calorie control. I am trying to lose weight.
thanks!

Any brand is fine.
Don't worry about such details.
This diet is simple:
- Only eat whole plants unprocessed or minimally processed.
- Eat mainly whole starches (brown rice, oats, potatoes, beans, corn etc) to get most of your calories. Supplement this with a few whole veggies and fruits.
- Avoid juices. Drink water.
- No oil and little nuts, avocados , soy (high calorie plant foods)
- No need to count calories. Eat when you are hungry and stop when you are full, but not too full.

And walk an hr a day.
