Blood Pressure pills

Postby MikeyMike » Sat Apr 07, 2018 5:55 pm

I have been following this diet for about1 1/2 months now. My waking both is around84/57 and during the day gets up to 107/64. I've talked to my doctor about stopping my blood pressure pills, but it's like trying to talk a dog off a meat wagon. What do you think? Just stop taking them?

Hi MikeyMike, according to this article by Dr. McDougall most people who follow the McDougall Plan for two weeks can significantly reduce their meds or get off them entirely. Maybe you can show it to your doctor or get a second opinion. On the other hand, there are some people who reduce the meds on their own.
