Help friend loose 80+ pounds!

Postby johnled » Thu Jul 25, 2013 7:00 pm

Feb. 2006 I was diagnosed with a sever case of RA. Long story short, after discovering McD I healed myself and proved the specialist wrong in less then a year. Needless to say I preach McD to anyone who will listen.

A girl that my kids grew up with had gained a ton of weight after having a few babies. She talked to me about 15 months ago, then strict veg. As of today she has lost 81 pounds and is more than thrilled with her new found health and awesome feeling!

Awesome!!

What a nice feeling to have someone listen to you, act on it, and get the benefit

No kidding! I think my score ratio is about 100:1, seems NOBODY wants to take care of their self.

Remember I had a severe case, told I'd be wheelchair bound within five years so my motivation was high. As in bound to a wheelchair, not headed towards.

In a nutshell I went strict McDougall. I'm a very picky eater so it wasn't hard for me, I can eat the same boring foods for months at a time. I've been living on beans and rice for longer than I can remember but you do not have to be as lazy as me (I'm fixing my own food so I dont go overboard, ha).

Let me know if you have any questions, I could talk about this stuff all day.

What did you eat daily and amounts?
How long until you saw some relief?

I ate all I wanted, did not measure or count anything. I'm a VERY picky eater so I was limited on what varieties I ate, mostly steamed ob baked potatoes, carrots, broccoli in the beginning. Today I eat mostly beans and rice, I do have a giant green smoothie for breakfast every day.

Before being diagnosed with RA by the Dr we had learned by Googling that was most likely what I had and had already found and started McDougall. Once diagnosed I DID go on meds immediately to get it under control (didn't want my previous post to be misleading). I was on meds for less then a year before going off and not to return.

I have written my entire story out due to numerous people asking, if you would like to read it give me an e-mail address and I'll send it to you.

It is much too long to post. I'm afraid it may bore you McD folks since you know so much of it. I wrote it for my unknowing friends. I wrote it a few years ago but just went back trough it quickly to try and give current years, in case I missed anything I here are the important dates.

I was just fine Thanksgiving 2005, bed fast by Dec 9th '05 and diagnosed mid Feb 2006.

Keep in mind that I am not a writer and barley made it out of school due to English class, ha!

Your story is amazing to say the least. I hope to have your success. I am just fat and formerly lazy and I feel better already. I can't imagine how awesome you must feel.

In fact John, I have downloaded it onto my computer and am going to give it to anyone I think might benefit, if that's OK with you.
