Dropped 10 BMI points (photos)

Postby Ruff » Wed Jun 19, 2013 7:21 pm

August 2010 I weighed somewhere above 108 kg. that was the last time I weighed myself. I went up a dress size after that though.

The first photo is taken the day after my parents 50th wedding anniversary. It was 2 weeks later my life changed forever and I started losing weight for real. It's a long story.

The second photo was taken late autumn 2013 (southern hemisphere) I think April. My hubby and I had run 4miles out along the Pigeon Bay walkway to the headland. After a snack of nuts and dates we ran back again. Before I started running...another long story as to how and why I began running...I could not walk a mile let alone run one.

Hope you enjoy the pictures.

I am going back to the Uk in September/October this year, so I am having another push to try and lose 20 more pounds before I fly. I am doing a journal to try and help with that. I know I am still overweight, but all the same, I am quietly proud of myself!

My journal.....

Congratulations!

It feels good, doesn't it? Not only physically and medically, but psychologically too, knowing you are in control of your life to a great extent.

You look like a different person. I am not sure I would know it was the same person without being told. Awesome.

Thank you for all your lovely comments.

One of the best things about the weight loss is getting rid of all those ugly men's shirts!

Just re-read that! The shirts were ugly...I didn't run out and pinch them from ugly men! :unibrow:

Congrats and thanks for the great photos. The location of the second one is so similar to parts of the Gulf Islands off Vancouver's west coast ...... This would be like the San Juan Is. in the US.
It's so much fun to see your progress in pictures. Looking forward to your journal Dlee

I would love to visit Vancouver one day. I just need to wait for my boat to come in.

The photo is taken on the Banks Peninsula on the South Island of New Zealand.
