Benefits so far after nearly 3 months

Postby ajhondrngal » Thu May 30, 2013 10:33 pm

Non-scale benefits...

Two things that were bothering me and concerned me because they made me think I was still progressing into heart disease. I was having some achiness in my chest and when I walked longer distances my foot would go numb. Both of those stopped after one week.

Skin is softer and less oily.

The short distances I've actually run this year have been faster than last year. Looking forward to training...need to get that started for the 5k I want to do in October.

And from this weekend...

I've been watching for that boundless energy I've heard about.

This weekend we went to my sisters and installed a sprinkler system. I worked a full 8 hour day in the yard with two trips to the store for parts, and cooked dinner. All evening I waited for the bone-crushing fatigue I'm so used to feeling, and it never came. Normally, I would put in four hours of work and be so tired the rest of the day that I would order in dinner.

Added in edit: I also wasn't as sore as usual after that long day of work.

I'm impressed!
Well done you.
I have some yard work you can do if you still feel energetic and need to use up some of that energy. :)

Since I can't start a new thread at the moment...here's goes.

I've been working at this since March...so six months, with lots of starts and stops and distractions.

Today I had a great visit with the naturopath. He said I'm doing very well, and cut two of my main heart supplements in half and took me off another one! This shows me that this way of eating IS WORKING!

Now if I could only start cutting back on prescriptions.

(Just a note...let's not debate if naturopaths are good or not. This one has done more good for me than any medical doctor, so he gets my money.)

What you write is really great! Kind of makes me proud though I don't know you :) What fills me with respect is that you kept being patient and persistent for that long time! Well done!

Thanks, Clara. As you can see from my first post there were small things along the way. It's just so good to see a benefit like this once in a while, too.
