A kind of different testimonial

I've been wanting to share this.

My 18 year old son has always been a picky eater. I struggled to figure out what he would eat, and finally learned that he just had different tastes than the rest of us. As a toddler he liked blueberries and white chicken chili, of all things. He is also one who has a hard time with change, so our slow move into this way of eating was mostly for his benefit.

Last month was his birthday and we invited friends over for homemade pizza. We made normal ones for the party and one plant based pizza for my husband and I.

As they were dishing up dinner we overheard our son say:

”Mom makes almost everything vegan, and 100% of it tastes good.”

It would be good if he would. He's with us about 85% of the time. Enough for him to lose all his flab. Now if my flab would join his I'd be really happy... Lol

You're setting him a great example.
I wish my lot were as willing.

My middle boy who's 21 is the most adventurous of the three.
I also hope to win over number one son as his partner has been very impressed with my weight loss and I'm pretty sure I can gently nudge her in the right direction after their baby is born.

AnnaSpanna, I'm hoping my progress will help my oldest and daughter-in-law make the switch, too. Is this your first grand baby? Our first is due in October. We are all so excited.

ET, thanks!

Out of our four kids number two and four tend to eat the best. Number 2 and 3 (boys) have a healthy bmi. Number four (girl) has a bmi of 25. So right on the border.

Yes, it's our first grandbaby.
She's due sometime in the next month or two.
We don't know the exact date as she's a little small for her age and they may want to bring her out early.
Apart from that it looks like everything's ok.

Our kids are all slim build. The boys take after my father who is tall and slim. My daughter gets her slimness from hubby's mother most likely. And we even wonder if bubs gets her tininess from her too.
MIL is deceased so I never met her but she was quite petite.
Petite does not run in the womenfolk in my family.
We all have 'good child bearing hips'. :D

Congrats on your first grandbaby too.
I hope all goes well for all concerned and that he or she gives you lots of joy. :)
