Down 70+!

Postby km23 » Mon Aug 20, 2012 10:01 am

Hello! I just had to share that I am now down over 70 lbs! I have lost 71.4 lbs in 23 weeks. I feel great, and, as I have said before, it has been really easy. I haven't even really started pumping up my exercise yet! (I do walk a fair amount, since I have a big, young dog. And I like walking.)

I just started the Hundred Pushups program (using the iPhone app) - I'm up to 16 :? , and when I hit 220 (only 25 more lbs!) I will start doing Couch to 5K - very slowly.

I'm really excited about all of this, and I really appreciate all the support from the boards! Thank you.

Thanks, everyone!

Geo - I think maybe someone didn't recognize me yesterday. It is someone I met 5 days before I started MWL and hadn't seen since. Maybe he wouldn't have recognized me anyway! I have gotten a lot of compliments, but it took a good 55-60 lbs before people really started to notice.

Hi Katey! Yes it does seem like it takes a lot of weight loss before people start noticing. I think I lost about 40 before I got my first comment about "looking thinner". Now I hear it almost daily. I've just gone over 80 lbs lost, but I started MWL about 2 1/2 weeks before you did :) I made a quick post in the lounge this morning... Its good to see that MWL really does work and isn't hard at all from multiple people! I still have 20-30 lbs to lose I think so I'll be around for a while longer

Congratulations, Katey!!! I had about 40-45 pounds to lose. So far I've lost 8 pounds and no one has noticed yet, but I didn't really expect them to.

You've done such a great job! Good for you!!!! :D

Thanks, Deb! No, I don't have any menus posted. I keep it pretty simple for the most part. Oatmeal with fruit every morning. Then mostly potatoes and various veggies. Beans a few times a week.

Boring, but I think that is part of what is working for me. Boring means I don't eat as much, because I'm bored! And then occasionally I spice it up a bit. Last night I made a variation on Jeff Novick's basic veggie burgers.
