Congratulations, you really do look wonderful! And thanks for the reminder about weight-loss stalls. I'm working through one right now...

About vanity sizing: I blame it for my gradual weight gain over the years. Seems I gained weight pretty much exactly as sizes increased, because I stayed the same size but was 20 pounds heavier over 20 years... but if I compare the old clothes with the new, reality raises its ugly head!

One thought keeps crossing my mind: Where's this girl star Mcdougaller story? I think someone should e-mail Dr.M.

You look so pretty standing there! wow!
I have lost about 60 lbs and never thought I'd be in the 150s ever again. cured my NAFLD!! Feel great!! Wt loss is so good for the knees and back, ankle, that I know I will never start back to the SAD way of eating again.

I do know what you mean! I knew I had gained "a little" over a few years, but since my clothes were still a size 10, it wasn't bad, right? Then on that fateful day I stepped on the scales for the first time in a very long time and about died of shock! :crybaby: Wow, that was depressing... and I wasn't wearing "big girl" sizes, but once I got honest about my belly, etc. the truth was obvious, no matter what the number on my jeans.

Agree with you all about sizes -- I wear 16-18 pants now at 240 lbs. and that was the size I wore 20+ years ago when I weighed 180.

Thanks for sharing, Traci. I am two weeks into this with 80 or so to lose and as I sent my husband & kids out trick or treating, I was wondering how I would get through this night.... should I smell the candy or just ignore it completely? I decided to come here to see if anyone read my post in "Health Issues" (pssst... looking for feedback :-D ) and decided to read more. Thank goodness! Your lovely photos will get me through tonight. Congratulations to you.

I remember that before picture from a while ago, maybe last year's update. That after photo is fantastic and I really love that dress. You look beautiful.

you look AMAZING! I've attempted every diet known to man, but after seeing your photos, I'm sure this is the way to go. Starting today!! Thank you for all the tips and motivation.
What types of food did you eat at the beginning? Did you follow MWL? I have about 25lbs I'd like to dispose of
Again, way to go!!

Loved your story! I lost 48 pounds and kept it off for a year. This fall, I regained 10. I seem to be back on track. It certainly feels better to eat this way!

Even though I refuse to use the maximum weight loss program, if I keep nuts to a minimum and keep away from sugar, I will lose. And, I still need to lose another 20 or more. So, I'm commited to being more focused!

I agree about the vanity sizing, but it is what it is. I love that I'm currently wearing a size 8, but I know it's probably a real 12 the way it used to be.

Doesn't matter.

You look absolutely amazing! Congrats to you!
