Hi Everyone!

Thank you for checking in on this final week for 2018. It has been wonderful to travel the road to weight loss together for the past year with so many of you.

This month has been a bit of a struggle for some of us, but I am thrilled that you are still here, checking-in, weighing-in or reading through this thread. Keep it up; it’s only a matter of time (and adherence) until all of the little changes add up to noticeable ones.

Yesterday evening, after reading Moonlight’s post about getting re-started, I thought that maybe all of us could use a little head-start in getting past the holiday social-eating season and back to our regular MWL style plans.

First, let’s recall the basics: McDougall Moments: The Maximum Weight Loss Diet

Now let’s visit the writings of Jeff Novick for a little perspective on our goals with regards to getting to a healthy BMI.

Finally, we go to Dr. Lisle to put us in the best mindset for working towards achieving that desired weight loss goal:
The Slow Fast Way: The Steady Path to Your Goals for the New Year

Please try to go through the above thread and webinar; they represent the what, why and how of program success; Having a good understanding of your why will stand you in good stead for the New Year!

I’m so looking forward to continuing our journey in 2019!!! Best wishes everyone.

Amy XO

Lyndzie wrote:I am up +.6 this week, making it a total gain of roughly 5 lbs this December. Ugh. Thank goodness that is behind us for the most part. We have the last family gathering today, and I’m bringing my own food because I have no desire to eat pizza delivery and stale cookies. So grateful for the support here, and having other people who have similar struggles.

Happy New Year everyone!

Happy New Year to you too Lindsey. :) I hope today went well...we ALL know what you are going through.

Just a few more difficult days, keep up the heavy effort; it’ll ensure a few more good choices than if you decided to wait and restart on the 1st. Every little bit helps. XO.

Yomom wrote:I am up 2# this week to 148#. Still getting a fair bit of exercise, enough to be tired and sore most mornings. Tempting off-plan food is everywhere, of course. I am planning to make Amy’s improvised Cabbage Soup tomorrow to help me refocus on the good stuff.
Hoping everyone is enjoying the holiday season with family and friends.

:) I love that soup. I’m so happy you like it too. These constant little course corrections will keep you in your desired weight range until you are ready to go further or for long term maintanence.

I’m having a lovely holiday with friends and family, thank you, food issues non-the-less. XO
