Cook through the MWL recipes with me!

Postby Idgie » Sat Sep 08, 2018 9:22 pm

I think just for fun, I'm going to cook through all the recipes in the MWL book (subbing in something else for the couscous). Anyone want to do it with me? If so, please comment here with the recipe you'd like to try first, and I'm going to plan to cook one recipe every weekend until I'm done with all of them. I will post a photo and review of each recipe. Who's with me?

:-)

Okey-dokey! To be honest, I looked through all the MWL recipes in the book, and nothing was snacky at all, so I think I'm gonna start this week with the chili recipe, to pour over those fries! :-) Will go buy the stuff today and post once it's made and tasted.

Have you tried the potato cheese sauces everyone on the internet seems to be making? I like that to dip oven fries in. Maybe once I make chili fries, I'll make chili "cheese" fries, too! :-)

What a great idea! I can't garantee I can find the time (and the ingredients) every weekend to join you, but if so, I will post a picture. :-D

Hi Idgie! :-D

This sounds like so much fun!! You inspired me to pull out the MWL book and re-visit the recipes -- and the book itself.

Some of the recipes sound great - others aren't in my wheelhouse, so wouldn't want to make them all.

Would love to follow / make some of them. Saw you post somewhere on the chili... wow, I would totally do that!!!

My favorite (from years ago) was "Souper Salad". Yum!

Anyway, PM me if you want support here. I'm game to make some.

Will be excited to watch your reviews, etc.

Cheers,
Stephanie
