MWL program - get out what you put in.

Postby lucidguppy » Fri Jun 02, 2017 1:49 pm

I went from 250 to 190 on McDougalling - but to get the last few pounds off I did MWL.

When I went off back to regular McDougalling (but eating a lot of bread and occasional oily food and alcohol) - the weight crept back up to mid 190's

Going back on MWL this week - I dropped to 185 from 193 in three days.

Here's my mini-yoyo for the past year

My body is completely logical. If I go MWL I achieve a healthy weight. If I eat bread ad-libidum I go to just above normal into overweight BMI

Hi Lucidguppy,

That's been my experience too. Did continue MWL this week as well? How's it going?

My struggle is in adhereing strictly to MWL vs regular McDougall. Are you able to stay on plan easily? If so, do you have any advice for those who struggle?

Thanks,
Amy

Could be constipation from not drinking enough water? Or water retention from too much salt? Those could be your issues. If so drink more water and watch salt consumption.
