I am still 151# this week for a loss/gain of ZERO this week.
I am refocussing on healthy habits by making a big clean-out-the-refrigerator soup in the Instant Pot electric pressure cooker.

Well, another week losing .8 #. But I'll take it. And I am now officially under 175 at 174.6. I might have lost more, but my wife arranged a party with a few friends over yesterday. The lunch featured Kusherie (Egyptian Rice and Lentils) which I McDougallize by skipping the oil for browning the Lentils and Onions. Anyway I ate quite a lot of it so it hasn't had time to work through the system. (we also skip the yogurt that's served with it, though we did have some for the guests if they wanted it.) In any case it's a pretty easy dish to prepare though there are a lot of ingredients. But I haven't had anyone complain about it not having meat in it.
I'm just here for the food.

This week marks the end of December. We lost more than 17 pounds this month!
This week also marks the end of the 2016. Our constantly changing group lost more than 430 pounds this year!
That's quite an impressive feat for just swapping out meat, dairy and oil and adding in potatoes, beans and veggies.
Thank you to Debbie for helping so many people stay the course and keeping track of our progress. We will miss you here.
Thank you to Jeff Novick for being available at any time to clarify the confusing "new" nutritional updates we are constantly being bombarded with in the media and helping us to stay focused on what is truly important to a healthy lifestyle.
Thank you to Dr McDougall for all of it...your life's work is giving so many of us a new lease on life. The website, the programs, the books, the videos/lectures/webinars, the knowledge, support and confidence that we can indeed turn our health around and get back to living our lives the way they were meant to be lived.

Happy New Year All!

Dave, Yomom, Dlee and everyone else that has been contributing, thank you. I'm so happy for you Dave for breaking into a significant new weight zone that you have been working towards. Dlee, you are so close! January will be your month, I'm sure of it. Kathy, I'm glad you're here with me :) . Welcome to Fancyfinch. Thank you to glo, sirdle, darnold and everyone else who periodically join in. Keeping on coming back...that's how we get where we're going.
