Today 130.5

I am both pleased and disappointed with my 2 lb weight loss. At least it's going the right direction but was hoping my first week would be a bigger loss, especially since I was 100% compliant. I will persevere nevertheless, and perhaps add a bit more exercise.

I'm -1.6 for this week.

I was the only gainer last week. I've made up for it this week. lol

I think I'm in a plateau or to the point that weight loss is slowing. I really was expecting it to hit at some point.

Waterfit - This really isn't a quick weight loss. At your weight, 2 lbs. is amazing. Everyone loses at different rates. My start was 162 and my first week was 3 lbs and then one pound per week. I'm at 140 now and it looks like my loss is going at a rate of .5 per week. Many people it can take a long time to get to goal weight. The closer you are to goal weight the slower it goes. Keep going! Your body will do what it needs to do in it's own time...not our minds time. :-) I'd really like to follow my mind though.

Thanks for your response. I suspect I am so used to quick weight loss in the first week due to water loss. Even if it's not fast, I know it's the way I want to eat for a lifetime. Congratulations on your success!!

I weighed in yesterday but neglected to post. I came down four tenths (-0.4). Not much, but at least it's not up. I seem to have to work like crazy for every gram these days and I still have over 40 pounds to lose to get to something even marginally respectable. On the positive, since starting this 7 years ago, I'm down over 50 so I am past halfway. But, of course, the only way to do it is to take it one week at a time and this week I get to say:

September was a difficult month for me for weight loss. I gained weight several times, and didn't lose when I thought I should have. I had a very oily nose several times and I couldn't think where the oil was coming from. One day I only had salad for dinner and my weight went up. I believe my weight gain was due to honey mustard salad dressing. I only just started making this dressing and I really enjoy it. I was sure I wasn't having any oil so I looked up mustard on the internet.

Mustard seeds contain 36 grams of fat and 508 calories per 100 grams of seeds
for measures: 1 teaspoon = 2 grams, 1 tablespoon = 6.3 grams

I was using at least a tablespoon of dijon mustard in my dressing - I think this means I was taking in 2.3 grams of fat every time I had a big salad. (if I'm doing the math correctly)
Everyone time I eat fat I have an oily nose.

I stopped the mustard and I lost weight again this week.

Hopefully back on track now, :)

I am super excited with my loss of 5.5 lbs. this week. I had to get on the scale twice because I didn't believe it!!! Yippee! That's a 8.5 loss in 19 days since I started. It's been so easy too!!

Not sure what happened. I have upped my exercise. I'm down 24 lbs since May.

Lost 0 pounds this week. Pretty good considering I was out of town last Fri to Sun and eating some oil.
I'm comparing Fri to Fri.
MWL since 4th of July. Starting weight 161, current weight 149.8.
