Okay guys, here it is.... Forgot to make the new thread even with reminders. LOL I see two members posted in the August thread. If they don't see this one, I will add them to the tally and hope they see the new one. Have a great week.


Our weigh in days for the month are the 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd and the 30th.

For the newcomer, I collated this from some earlier threads....

Here is a refresher on some guidelines for posting here and participating in our monthly weigh-in thread.

Our weigh in's are on Fridays and you have until 12 PM PST on Saturday to report.

Anyone is welcome to join the weekly weigh in group as long as they follow the McDougall principles. While we recommend the Maximum Weight Loss (MWL) plan, it can be any one of the McDougall program including the MWL plan, the regular McDougall plan, or Mary's Mini's, the Elimination Diet or any of the McDougall plans.

There is a sticky at the top of this forum on the guidelines for the MWL program.

In order to tally the results please submit your results by posting the total pounds you have lost or gained that week. You don't have to share your total weight if you'd rather keep that to yourself. This is an honor system so we take the gain, loss or maintain you give us in order to tally.

If you are a new member and would like to join but don't have a weight to be counted for the week then you will be counted either as a body with a zero starting weight, or when you check in for the weekly weigh in the following week. Large amounts of weight lost over a period of months or weeks, prior to joining the weekly weigh in group, will not be counted towards the weekly total.

If you measure your weight in something other than pounds please convert the measurement to pounds.

All gains will be counted towards the total to encourage weekly participation. Posting is encouraged whether it's a gain, a loss, or a maintain.

You are welcome to share as little or as much as you want on your weight loss journey here in this thread. We encourage members of the group to talk to each other, cheer each other on and set goals together.

This thread is for the mutual support of all who wish to participate.

OK, I'm in. Starting at 119.6. Goal 110. Have guests for a week and we'll be doing a lot of eating out with others. So this will hopefully keep me accountable. Wishing all of us an awesome month.

Hello guys,

OK, apologies to the group for ruining your lovely stats this week but after 8 weeks of summer holidays, we all knew this wasn't going to be pretty :o

I've put on 3 pounds over the summer (which is one pound for each trip I was on, so not as bad as it could have been). Big grocery shopping trip today and I have started to plan for the week ahead in terms of meals. The biggest change ahead is that I've gone bread crazy over the holidays. Scotland used to be a bit of a food desert for Germans like me and it's only fairly recently that there is a really nice choice of fresh rolls and loaves (rather than that white mush you can really only eat toasted) and I feel my brain thought it necessary to make up for 18 years of missed opportunities. :D However, starting next week my main focus will be to get rid of rolls, banish the bread, and havoid the hummus.

Hopefully, I'll be able to contribute with a decent loss next week.

Hi All!

Down 1 lb. this week. I was super excited since that makes 20 lbs!!! 20!!! Yeah, I'm super excited. :D

Starting weight 162, todays weight 142 and I'm not sure where I'm going yet. I'm hoping the low 120's but not getting hung up on a number, I just want to be healthy and maintain easily.

Let's see where this week takes us!

Hi! :-D I'm happy to be here and happy that YOU are here! Thank you!

Since the first of March, I've lost 25 lbs. Slowly at first, just making generally better choices and then about 6 weeks ago, I shifted into MWL mode. And other than a two-week-in-the-middle of some abandonment...I'm back at it with great delight and vigor.

Yesterday's weigh-in was 238.8 lbs.

Morning all! Sorry I'm late...we took the kids to 6 flags yesterday and got home pretty late. I was going to round our tally to zero, since it was only .1 of a gain for the week, but figured later it would bother me when the tally didn't add up right. LOL So almost an even split week with losses and gains.

I'm up two and a half pounds this week ( +2.5) Something is really wrong. I'm going to have to recommit to getting rid of refined grains or something. This level of diet and exercise would always have me losing weight in the past. I'm really frustrated. Sorry to be screwing up the group totals. Congrats to all you losers. This has got to turn around soon.
