Sorry this is late. My computer almost caught on fire last week and had to be fixed. Still not fixed so I had to find another one to do that tally on. This one Im on is a pain to work with. Anyway....Great job everyone!!!

Down 7 lbs in the last 2 days, but that's what results from the stomach flu, lol. My weigh in Friday morning will be really good. Certainly not the way I wanted to do it though.

Woke up with my face all puffy. Up 4 lbs this week because I wasn't assertive enough with meal choices. Up 3.8 overall = 239.2 this morning. I've been exercising 3x a week since 6/13 so at least that's an improvement. I feel the need for a Mary's Mini. Do you recommend that for a jump start or is it only recommended for McDougallers plateauing near the end of their weightloss goal? I've successfully done it once before. Very sorry for messing up the group loss, everyone.

Hi everyone, I unfortunately gained 1 lb.
I have been job hunting and have been on 2 eatin' interviews where I believe I did not make the best choices. I ordered a veggie sandwich hold the cheese, with broccoli instead if fries, but the panini bread looked like they brushed it with oil when they toasted it. The second was catered with pizza. I had 2 slices and man did I feel groggy the next day! But all in all, I got the job! I start Monday. So I am so grateful to get back to a routine after being out of work since Oct 15'. I hope to see steady progress going forward!!
I really do think of you guys during the week. I keep thinking that I don't want to hurt the group total when I am making my choices. So, thanks for that!

Current weight 236 (June 24, 2016)
Goal is 145 - 18.8 lbs lost so far
Lost 6.2 lbs this week (mostly due to the stomach flu though)

Down 2.5 this week, but was dealing with the low-hanging fruit. Next week will be tougher.

People do it all the time, so why not? BTW, if you feel like you need a gigantic dose of hope to recommit and haven't seen Dr. Doug Lisle's videos, hie thee to Youtube and/or his website. I find them beyond helpful.

I'm down 1.3( -1.3) , but I modified my weigh-in routine a bit. I was going to sandbag the .3 for next week but I am worried that trying to maintain all the little adjustments would unravel, so I'm just going with the call as is and let the chips fall as they may. I hope July (and the last June weigh-in, of course) continues this slow, consistent progress.

Congrats to all US losers! Have a great last week of June, everybody. Let's bring it home!

Down 1.2, okay I'll take it!

I noticed this week how often I was thinking about food and that my response then is to get something to eat. I'm not sure I've learned yet how to distinguish between thinking about food and being hungry. I think I've been working on the notion that if I'm thinking about getting something to eat, it is because I'm hungry. I hope to be paying more attention this week and learning to distinguish.

For example, I can be reading here on the forum somewhere and come across some mention of what someone ate (good, allowable food) and think, "oh that sounds really good!" and then the thought stays with me and I wonder if I have the ingredients and how long it would take to fix it, etc., etc., until I make it and eat it. Same goes for, for example, remembering that I bought cherries this week -- then I don't stop thinking about them until I dig them out and eat them all -- and it doesn't matter how recently I've eaten.

On a quest for the experience of hunger! :?

Hello,

Up 1 pound from last week. I'd like to blame it on a plateau, but I think I'm just being sloppy. Food choices are usually really good during the day but then the evenings are just not working out for me at the moment, which is a pain because you think you've been doing well and then you don't see any results = epiphany!

I find I'm having lots of "dry" food at the moment. Go-to lunch is couscous with pineapple salsa, which is quite a dry grain. My daughter really loves vegan spicy burgers at the moment (which is a great change from fish and chips) but it means processed burger, buns, and very little fresh food. I think I need to make a big pot of soup for the week ahead and let her have her burgers while I have soup over rice or pasta.

School finishes up on Tuesday here, so after that I'm faced with a) having more time to spend on food prep (yay) and b) having more time to eat stuff I shouldn't eat (no!!!). Fingers crossed I'll get it right.

Late again. This time I was slacking Hope101!!!! :lol: :lol:

Today, I restarted my acid blockers. I feel after my gallbladder removal and subsequent ERCP, it damaged the muscle from my stomach to my esophagus. I weaned off my acid blockers earlier this year and gave up coffee and all was great for a few weeks. Then a couple times a week I'd wake up in the middle of the night choking on acid. It happened again this afternoon while I took a nap. I wasn't flat this time and had to cough several times really hard to fully get the acid from my windpipe. Its too much for me to handle and really scares me. :( I don't if any damage can be fixed but I'm kind of scared to go back and have anything else done. I don't have any other heartburn symptoms...just the reflux.

Great ending to June...bring on July!! Look for the July thread this week.
