APRIL 2016 McDougall Weigh in Group

Here is the April weigh in thread. Sorry everyone, I completely forgot to make a new one. My new work assignment, with new schedule etc, really took a toll on me last week. The first 3 days, I ran on only 6 hours of sleep total! But Im good now and seemingly back to normal.


Our weigh in dates for April are the 8th, 15th, 22nd, and 29th.

Hello, how can I join this group? I've restarted McDougall after a layoff and I want to recommit. I started on March 29 at 244 pounds and I am now 237 pounds. Thanks.

I think you wait until the weigh in day, (April 8th) and then jump in. And report in with your weight on the given dates at the top of this thread (every week)

Someone correct me if I am wrong.

I think you report your weight loss/gain from the previous week. I post my weight as well, but that is mostly for my own information. Debbie just wants the change for the group totals.

I was hoping to get back to where I was before the vacation, but, alas, only made it about 2/3 of the way. I'm down 2:

3/31/2016 221.3
4/7/2016 219.3 (-2.0)

Still that's good enough to count myself among the elite group of you losers this week. Maybe I'll get back to two weeks ago next week. Why is it always easier to put it on than to take it off. If I had a religion, it would have me doubting it.

Congratulations to all US losers. Let's have a great week. Thanks for maintaining this list. It does help keep me on track, I think.

Hi everybody,

checking in a day earlier than my usual weigh in day, but busy day tomorrow and not sure whether I'll remember (if I do and it's gone down, prepare for an update :D ).

I've lost 1 1/2 pounds this week. Slow progress but at least moving in the right direction. I've bought a new outfit in a slightly smaller, yet not unrealistically so, size to be my new motivational cue :unibrow: . Will have to put it in a prominent place to remind me to stay plant strong and far, far away from the fats.

I was 183.4 exactly 1 week ago.
This morning I am 181.4

Lost 2 pounds.

Wow. I love this program. Essentially, since life has been extra hectic, it was kind of a MM week, lots of plain baked potatoes and raw snap peas and salads.
Down 4.2 this week. Hard to believe in a postmenopausal, thyroidally challenged old broad like me. :wink:

Hi everyone! I am down 1.4 pounds! I missed the last 2 weeks--company using my bathroom with the scale! I probably gained while they were here anyway, but this is down from my last weight, so it's all good! Have a great week, everyone!

I am re-committing after being away for way too long.
My first week back 100% compliant - Down 8.6 pounds!!
I am loving the food and enjoying cooking again.
YAY!!

Gratefully I am down 7 pounds since restarting the way of life two weeks ago. Let's call it a loss of 3.5 pounds this week.
