Good morning all,

no change this week. However, we've been out for meals twice and I've hit the hummus really hard (busy time at work - I tell myself it's still better than a box of chocolates).

Maybe I should pack instant porridge for when I need a pick me up in the office :D

Have a great week, everybody.

Kerstin :)

Well, I am down 1.8 pounds from last Friday.....a huge surprise since I fell off the wagon for 2 days.

Lesson learned - keep interesting food on hand. When the good options get boring, you'd be amazed what kind of garbage you can create with what might have survived the kitchen purge - or not.....after all, you are my people...lol.

I have a weird trend going on. I do 2 weigh ins for 2 groups. This one on Fridays, and one for an insurance sponsored weight loss program I am in with a Tuesday weigh in. I have a fairly consistent middle of the week spike with a drop by the next Tuesday - I almost always gain 3-4 pounds from Tuesday to Friday, and then lose maybe 5 by the next Tuesday. Overall, I am showing consistent loss every Tuesday, and consistent loss each Friday.
I don't have a consistent menu. I do tend to stay up late on Thursday nights because I have several school assignments due Thursday by midnight, and again I'm up late Sunday nights writing papers due that midnight. Could the spike be from being up later? I am honestly not aware of eating more those nights, but since this plan is about what I eat not when I eat, I may just not be thinking of it since it isn't an 'infraction.'
I'll try to be more aware of it this coming week just to take notice. I am losing consistent weight, so I won't stress it at all. I wanted to get below 430 this week, but it didn't happen. Maybe next week.

Off topic, I know, but I wanted to post here because I figured this was the best place since ya'll check in daily.

Can someone tell me the names of all the books that Dr. McD lists in his MWL recipe index? I wanted to look for them on Amazon. Thanks!

So I apologize for being gone so long. I think the last time I posted was November. I kept getting jerked around so I couldn't get a stable day/time or even scale for my weigh-ins, and I never seemed able to get things to normalize. I stopped looking at the scale over the holidays. Then my birthday,... Then I figured I'd better get on the scale last week. And Shockingly ( although, perhaps, unsurprisingly) I had put on over 10 pounds since I last weighed. I got really worried that I'd fall off the deep end and vowed to start posting each week again. I know it's kind of disingenuous. starting up after putting on the weight that should be easy to lose, but like I said, if I don't grow some accountability, I'm afraid of what might happen. So I'm going to post from here and if you don't want to include it in the group totals, that's fine. But here goes again:

I'm down 4.6 this week ( Still up almost 9 overall), but it's not really fair to the plan to count that, since I wasn't really following the plan. That's all the guilt I can bear. And it doesn't do me any good, anyway. So,...

3/11/2016 223.7
3/17/2016 219.1 ( -4.6)

Congratulations to all us losers! Let's have a great week. Thanks for suffering me again. I'll keep trying to improve.

Do you folks who use ticker factory just put the image in your message text? That's the only way I can get it to show. Thanks!

I'm glad you're back, Mark! I can totally relate.

I have lost ZERO this week, and I am glad there was no gain. I am having trouble in the evenings, feeling the urge to have (as my DH calls it) "a little something." Usually twice, if not 3 times. I try to limit it to MWL foods, but have not always succeeded (avocado, crackers, wine). I know it's hard to lose at this low end of the scale, but it's not just eating till I'm full. I eta when I am already full. There is something making me want a reward, a crunch and a taste in my mouth, and it's keeping me either creeping up in weight or at least not losing these 8-10 pounds that are making my pants not fit!

I think I'm back in "I deserve" mode, and I need to get back to my starches. Maybe make another bowl of oatmeal and blueberries after dinner.

I'll be back next week!
