I am also up .8 of a pound this week. Not overly sure why....

I saw a post on FB about cooking potatoes and yams in the pressure cooker. OMG so good. Just a little bit of salt. Ive always loved sweet and slightly salty together, so that was perfect.

I lost 0.5 this week.
I've been really strict and was hoping for better, but I'll take it.

I am down 1.6 pounds this week, and my husband is down 2.7!!!

My starting weight: 127.5
Current weight: 122.9
Total loss after 3 weeks: 4.6 pounds

Husband's starting weight: 201.4
Husband's current weight: 198.7
Total loss after 1 week: 2.7 pounds

We are strict, but do eat a bit more fruit than recommended. No overt fats at all, no flours (with the exception of one dinner of frozen veggies, whole wheat pasta, and fat-free sauce)...lots of potatoes, sweet potatoes, squash, and some quinoa and brown rice. Lots of cooked greens, too, but never more than half the plate. This weight loss is brought to you by TATERS, baby!! :D
Ethical vegetarian since October 2003. Vegan since April 2011. Low-fat high-carb fruit n' starch-loving vegan since March 2012. Wife to vegan husband and mama to beautiful & healthy vegan girls aged 3.5 years and 6 months! :)

Still not comfortable enough with the Avia scale at home to post numbers, but it read 1.8 lower than it did last week. Not sure how much clothes contributed to that so I'm calling it as 1 pound down. ( -1.0)

Hope everybody else had a great week.

Congratulations to all us losers!

Keep the ball rolling, everybody.

You have a BMI under 23 and you're complaining about losing a half pound? You're just trying to make me feel bad now, huh?

Congrats!

November 20 week 3 ....down 1.5 lbs ;) was down 2.5 earlier in the week but I will take this after last week gain of 1 lb. Probably shouldn't weigh every day.kind of discouraging that I am only down 0.5 lb for the month ...did lose an inch in my waist though.

Down 2.2 lbs. today! I am amazed, and grateful that we found a new menu at the hotel in town! We are getting all sorts of painting, flooring, etc. done and are having to eat out a lot, which can cause me no end of trouble! But the Valley Hotel in Palmer, Alaska, offers daily on its menu: Baked potatoes and a side of steamed broccoli, cauliflower and carrots! They are my new heroes!

Thanks, Mark. I've been losing and gaining the same 4 pounds since August and had hoped being more stringent would get me past that to my goal. I'll keep at it though, maybe it will pay off next week. If not, a post-Thanksgiving Mary's mini may be in my future.

At that BMI you must be about as efficient a calorie processing machine as you'll find anywhere. I think losing a half pound says it is paying off. Just like it says you are working hard at it, and should feel proud about staying true to your goal.

No weight lost again this week. However, I am becoming more aware of my latest disordered eating tricks, and not doing them quite as often this week. Hoping to break this new overeating habit by my birthday in two weeks and lose a pound or two by then. Also, I have recommitted to exercising at least 30 minutes per day.

Simply out of curiosity, I weighed myself Thursday, Friday and Saturday mornings. The numbers differed much more than I would have expected. Anyway, I am going to post my weekly progress based on the highest of the 3 weights (so the lowest loss). That puts me at a loss of 0.4 pounds this week. Have a great Saturday, everyone!

In my admittedly humble opinion, the best way is to pick a day each week, and weigh yourself at the exact same time of the day every week, and go with that. Make a chart of it, if you are so inclined. Definitely forget the daily fluctuations, which, as you have seen, are deceptive and confusing! That way you can see a definite pattern and not a lot of data noise.
