AUGUST 2015 McDougall Weigh in Group

The 8th month of 2015. 7 full months gone already. This year is going by much faster than years past for some reason. sigh....


The weigh in days for August are 7th, 14th, 21st, and the 28th. Remember you can weigh in on Fridays or Saturdays before 11am....also, I only need how much you lost or gained in pounds (thanks Mike for always posting pounds for me. :) )

If this is our first weigh in, should we use Aug 7 as our starting weight or should we say when we started losing weight?

I'm up 0.9 over the two weeks:

7/23/2015 210.0
8/06/2015 210.9 (+0.9)

I don't feel too bad about it. I was behind the orange curtain, where no meat, no dairy means communist and no oil is what created the whole terminator series. Still I wish I could identify with the losers. Maybe next week. With only 25 pounds or so of overweight, it just keeps getting harder.

Hello All!
I decided to become a plant-based eater 3 weeks ago after watching Forks Over Knives and reading the FOK book, the authors of the book were inspired by McDougall's program. I transitioned slowly the first week then completely cut out meat, cheese, eggs, and oil by the second week.
In the last week I lost 2 pounds, but total pounds lost since I began a plant-based diet (a Starch diet as McDougall likes) is 10 pounds! I feel more energy and my brain is up to speed at all times, never a foggy moment due to being tired.

Beginning weight: 179 (07-17-15)
07-29-15: 172
08-07-15: 169

Hi all,
I have become vegan/low fat eater in October 2013 at weight 94.4 kg, and everything was going nice until I got pregnant :) I got my lovely daughter with the perfect complication free pregnancy where I gained only 10 kg (as opposed to almost 18 with my first), gave birth and breastfed my kiddo. But the moment I got pregnant I immediately felt I need more fat than is suggested. It usually hangs around 20%E. And now when I breastfeed if I have less than that - my daughter is restless at night, as if not satiated. Usually I can squeeze in one perfect McDougall day per week so it doesn't affect her and allows us to sleep better, and that is what I have been doing this year.
I accept this as it is until she stops breastfeeding (she is 10 months exactly).
I have started this year 2015 with 97.2 kg and am today at 94.7 kg. I am feeling good about the fact that I did not gain any weight but I certainly want to loose overall 25 kg to reach a normal BMI, but in the short term goal about 4-5 kg. I have a big conference presentation in October so I'd love to feel better about myself then :)

Start point 94.7 kg (208.7 pound?)

Stepped on the scale for first weigh in as I begin Mary's Mini today. Weight 140.8. Cooked breakfast of potato wedges last night and ready to get going!
