I seem to be making progress on my quest to pinpoint food sensitivities. This week I added tomatoes and the very next day the arthralgia reappeared in my hands. While I'm glad to be narrowing it down, it's depressing to think that I have to avoid tomatoes...an ingredient in so many of my favorite plant-based recipes.
That very likely means I will have to avoid other foods in the nightshade family too.
To add to the bad news, I have gained three pounds this week. It's probably part of the inflammatory response to the tomatoes, but still discouraging. It seems to be taking so long to recover! I tested the tomatoes on Monday and I'm still recovering from it today...four days later. I can't try incorporating another new food item until I completely rebound from this one.
