Thanks for the congratulations. I'm going to keep at this and hope to shed another 19 pounds to put me solidly in the middle of the healthy weight range.

Sorry, everybody, I'm up 1.3 this week

I knew it was going to be bad. I'm not really doing anything terrible, but I also know that I need to step up the calorie deficit if I am going to continue down from here. I was going to add strength training or up my running, but this was not the week for it. May be I'll have better to report next week.

I lost 2.2 lbs this week for a total of 154 lbs

Starting weight on 3/2014 was 304 lbs
Weight as of 4/2016 is 114 lbs

I seem to be making progress on my quest to pinpoint food sensitivities. This week I added tomatoes and the very next day the arthralgia reappeared in my hands. While I'm glad to be narrowing it down, it's depressing to think that I have to avoid tomatoes...an ingredient in so many of my favorite plant-based recipes. :( That very likely means I will have to avoid other foods in the nightshade family too. :crybaby:

To add to the bad news, I have gained three pounds this week. It's probably part of the inflammatory response to the tomatoes, but still discouraging. It seems to be taking so long to recover! I tested the tomatoes on Monday and I'm still recovering from it today...four days later. I can't try incorporating another new food item until I completely rebound from this one.

+3 lbs.

Sigh. Food is good but I have not been to yoga in almost a month now and I feel it and the scale shows it. I seem to be able to really concentrate of food or really concentrate on exercise. I have to learn to balance the two. Hang in there everybody. We've got the next 7 days to make April 17th a great weigh-in day. Congratulations Graciezoe on the loss. It's encouraging!!!

Now to see if I can hold that through the weekend. I'm back at my low point before my emotional eating at the thought of seeing family began last month. From here the real losses begin!

Side note. Had a check up with my family doc yesterday. He shook my hand 3 times. Said he could never talk someone into this diet, but when a patient found it he was so happy for them because if they stuck with it for two years there would be lasting success. I doodled around for the first few months and consider myself to be mostly compliant and completely committed since June of last year. So 10 months down 14 to go until permanence? Huh. I think I'm already there on that part.

Another 1 pound loss, but I'm going out of town this weekend to visit my cousin. Which sounds like it's gonna be the kiss of death, but fortunately, she's also a McDougaller so we eat alike. Ain't life grand?

I know I shouldn't say it this way, as all loss is good - but only -1 this week. [sad trombone] It just seems like it should be more. Oh well, at least it wasn't +1.

4/10/15 Weigh-in: 274.

The mister and I are going out of town tomorrow too...rural/small town America doesn't have the greatest choices. I'm trying to figure out what we can prep & pack to bring with us.

ACK!!! Sorry I am so late. I forgot it was Saturday. My oldest had an attendance make up day at school, so we kind of went close to normal routine and I kept forgetting it was Saturday....I even forgot to weigh. Oh well.

Sorry I'm so late - two big family dinners on Easter did a number on me, and not a good number! But I rebounded by Saturday. Down only .25# but hey, it's another stick of butter gone! Big challenge this week, too, but I'm going to do my best to handle it better than I handled the holiday.
