Also, please----realize that your weight fluctuates so much in the course of a day or a week, you really cannot believe in any one measurement! A trend over time is the only thing you can believe in. And how to you get a trend over time? By having time pass, and by recording those measurements!
Make sure you take your weight, no more than daily, at the same time of day, under the same conditions, in the same clothing (or in none). If you are going to the trouble of doing that, record the weight on a notebook or chart. Most folks recommend weekly--I still weigh myself daily, and only record weekly. Write it down, observe it, and forget it. Keep going. Don't allow the number you recorded to set you into either a tailspin of despair ("All that work, and I gained!?!?"), or a celebration of arrogance ("So--that avocado on crackers didn't hurt a thing!".
Sometimes I'll weight myself 5 or 6 times in a day, just to illustrate the fluctuation to myself. I can still--even at this weight--vary as much as 10 pounds, what with eating and changing clothes. I have even varied as much as 5 pounds on days when I haven't eaten all day (like when I was sick).
Really, be good to yourself! It might not have been the fruit or popcorn or anything!
