Welcome All to our April '09 MWL Group. I'm so happy that we have stuck together through the holidays and the winter months. Now we can continue to give and receive support to each other into spring. Everyone is welcome here - this is our sixth month!! Many of us weigh in on Thursdays, and report on our exercise for the week on Sundays. Peace to all who enter here!! Take care, LauraA

I am having some busy days this week and next week..the food should not be a problem, but the exercising will be a big problem...I am hoping to lose a tiny bit or stay the same...I'll be happy with either of those options. :D

I am so happy to be here with all of you.

April will be good!

I did have a bad day today...my mom was having a bad day (alzheimer's) and I took her out to shop and to have lunch and I did good..I ate at the salad bar and had all MWL foods and fruit for dessert....then I got home and cried and hubby and I went out to eat....I caught myself when I was 1/2 way through a bowl of chips....AARRGGHH

Tomorrow I am back on plan. I already beat myself up over it and then I apologized to myself for that and I'll be OK for tomorrow. I guess it was just a small step back, it actually could have been much worse. I am only human. Since I would understand if anyone here did that, I have to be able to understand when I do it and be as kind to myself as I would to all of you.

It was a good day in a way since I stopped what I was doing and forgave myself for back-sliding.

WE can do this!

starting off bad

Postby MaryW » Tue Mar 31, 2009 8:49 pm

April will be my first official month participating in this group. I thought I was doing pretty good. I was invited out to lunch. My host chose IHOP. Ick! I ordered dry whole wheat toast, fruit bowl and grits. Good, right? Well, I remembered to ask for dry toast, but I forgot to ask them to hold the butter on the grits. Cuz a meal isn't complete without a slab of butter, right? Anyway, I scooped off the butter and still felt like I was on track.

But THEN...I went to the grocery store. I avoided the chip aisle. Very good. But I fell into a cheese hole. Eeek! And I ate my way out. Very bad.

Sooo...I'm starting again. I'm going to have a good month. I'm going to exercise. I'm going to eat the healthy foods that make me feel good physically and mentally. And I'm going to keep posting here! Thanks for the support.

New month new day!

On plan and planning to stay that way :)

Fit10 and No Excuses workout first thing this morning after breakfasts made and lunches packed.

oatmeal, homecanned cherries, honey and red tea for breakfast
snack will be grapefruit
lunch mashed potatoes and veggies - to have leftovers for suppers enchiladas
snack veggies - I need to make up a new salad dressing to try
supper - potato and corn enchaladas with a big green salad. just the middles for me and my fussy guy :?

Goals for the month:
Lots of veggies
Aim at 10,000 steps a day. I got a pedometer last week, and am getting about 6000 now. I think a long walk outside would do wonders for each day. I plan workout once or twice everyday - I like stickers.

Looking forward to tomorrows weigh in - not sure about weight loss, but I can feel the extra workouts as more energy and a trimmer body.
Melanie
