My weight stayed the same this week. This is probably positive since I ate out yesterday. Back with the program today!

To help me this week with motivation, I contacted an old diet buddy that I've done well with in the past. Currently she is doing the 21 Day Fix and supplied me with the information for my 241-lb self. My initial thoughts are that six 3/4 cup servings of protein a day seems excessive, and of course I'm going to omit the "healthy fats", nuts and seeds. As far as starches, it says to limit my intake to five 1/2 cup servings a day -- LOL not gonna! So, let's see how this week goes! Good luck everyone! -bel

So because I am not sure where I posted last, I will start to post my +/- numbers starting next Friday or Saturday morning as it is 7:57pm est right now and I missed the deadline. I am loving my potatoes

start weight 285, current weight 240.6, goal weight 140
27 weeks on plan, total loss 44.4 lbs
this past week gained 1 lb
5'5", age 61

I had two business lunches this week.
My two transgressions were, Roti prepared without oil, and tofu.
I can't get away with anything it seems.

So many WFPB (whole foods, plant based) cookbooks use nuts, tofu, and flour liberally.
Peanut butter, cookies, cakes, and creamy sauces - all claiming that you will lose weight on the diets in these books. :?:
I'm confused. Will I have to be spartan for the rest of my life?

-2.8 lost this week.

I jumped into a Mary's mini. I didn't expect to get through it. Day one was rough and it got better from there. I'm on day 8. I can do 3 more days of POTATOES!! I'm missing my rice and beans though. I get to have those on Monday. I wonder what will happen when I go back to those things. Surprisingly, potatoes really do satisfy hunger. I have much more energy in the morning with potatoes and veggies. It's been an enlightening journey. Will I do another one anytime soon? I don't know. I may want my body to get used to the new weight.

I'll check in to see how things are going for you all this past week.

Up 1 lb this week.
Current weight 240.6.

I had an AMAZING half week M-W — planned, prepped and packed meals; enjoyed cooking; and started FEELING great, finally! But then yesterday was my birthday and now I'm up 3 lbs just from yesterday: 2 cupcakes, 2 meals off plan, and a slice of ice cream cake.

Honestly, my guess would be it was more a sodium thing rather than a fat thing. Most food prepared outside the home will contain twice as much sodium. That might also help you eat more of it as well.

3 members!!! I am hoping today is my last Saturday working! I have 2.5 buses left to wash and wax and 1 isn't even in my yard. Fingers crossed we can pick it up this week and I can get these beasts done and enjoy the rest of my summer. I must say though, climbing ladders and waxing buses is REALLY good exercise.

Hi,

running late this week but no change so it doesn't affect the totals. I'm away on holidays again next week but will be back in time for the weigh in after that, making it the first August weigh in?

Enjoy your summer!

I weighed in Friday morning but missed posting. I was even; no change. With the way July has gone I should be grateful if it stays that way for the rest of the month. I got laid off in mid May and I've been trying to get my whole life back to the health routine ever since. It's tough. I had a nice weigh in and exercise strategy with my daily grind. I'll keep trying this week. Like I said, I haven't really fallen off a cliff, just my IMF Tuesday and Thursday have had a bit earlier break of the fast (afternoon instead of evening) this is the biggest life change I've had in 30 years and the future is still not clear. Well, I won't bore you with more, but I will say,...

Congratulations to all you losers! You're my heroes.

Sorry I missed getting here to report too. I had a child with croup for a few nights, last night was good. Glad we are out of that neck of the woods. I think we can both do with some good sleeps.

My weight was basically the same as last week, so no change.

start weight 285, current weight 141, goal weight 140.
28 weeks on plan, total loss 44 lbs.
this past week gained 1 lb
5'5", age 61

Two weeks in a row, gained one pound each.
This past week I worked a lot of overtime and ate dinner late, going to bed one hour after eating.

The only thing I can think of that would cause this.
I'm feeling discouraged, but will press on.
