https://thegetawayco.com/ offers vegan vacation tours, this year to Morocco, Portugal, and Greece. Has anyone here taken one? What can you tell us about your experience?

I know nothing about the above.

However, here's another tour company I first noticed a few months ago.

https://vegjauntsandjourneys.com/whole- ... oil-tours/

It was the "no oil" and the fact that he is a is a certified Food for Life instructor with the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine that caught my eye.

.....and no, I haven't tried that one either.

It's tough to travel overseas and avoid the excess salt, oil and sugar, especially if you can't speak the language. I notice that over at the Pritikin website as well.

Stick with this way of eating for any length of time and you will quickly discover that "Vegan" doesn't mean healthy. At least most of the time. Some of the worst meals for health I've seen are at vegan and vegetarian restaurants. There are a few shining stars but most of the time I can get healthier options digging around ethnic Asian, Mexican, and others and talking with the staff. I would be very wary of "vegan" specific events. They require even more scrutiny.
But hope springs eternal.
