New onion recall--Salmonella

Postby Mom+Me » Sat Aug 01, 2020 1:44 pm

I just came across this from the CDC. Two days ago I bought a variety of onions and have eaten a total of one large red onion raw. Of course I washed the onion really well (including with an all-natural, no chemical dish soap), but I have been very tired today and now I'm wondering.... :-(

Update on myself, in case anyone wants to know  : I ate more starch and drank more water and feel much more energetic, like I normally do. So, hopefully it was (and the rest of the variety I bought) a non-contaminated onion. I just hate to throw away food, so maybe I'll cook all of the other onions.

Hope you all have non-salmonella contaminated onions.

Thank you very much! I am, too! :)

Just still makes me wonder what to so with the beautiful variety of onions I bought...I've heard: "When in doubt, throw it out."....

Yep, our health is worth losing a few dollars worth of food.
