Kidney Disease and Treatment with SBD

I'm looking for resources on kidney disease. My sister was diagnosed with stage 3 two years ago, but has now (at age 68) progressed to stage 4. Can this be reversed with the Starch Solution? If so, how long will it take before results are seen in GFR, BUN and creatinine? Has anyone followed a strict starch-based diet and reversed, hopefully fully recovered from stage 4?

Her diagnosis is PKD, so additional questions are: What is the difference? Would the Starch Solution work for PKD as well? Is it possible to reverse this specific disease and have the cysts go away? Is it important for the cysts to go away, or is restoring kidney function to the point where the test results are in range good enough?

I've been starch-based for 3+ years now and if you know the Solution, you know my life is completely changed. I'm trying to do the same for my sister. She was not convinced two years ago to stick with it, but is now more motivated. I'd be happy to share my contact information to qualified resources.

A WFPBNO diet will prevent and reverse most diseases. It depends on the person how quickly and extensively damage can be reversed. Some things like high BP, high cholesterol numbers, and T2 Diabetes can improve in a matter of days or weeks, while other things take more time to rebuild.

Wonderful that you can be there for your sister. Making any complex decision and following through is hard.

Reversal may be possible, especially if young and fit, and 100% committed and compliant. However, with end stage disease, halting progression, avoiding dialysis and death, is success. And improvement in all other body systems is also important.

If you or your sister listen to podcasts, you can Google a couple of the popular WFPB ones that have disease reversal stories. One I listen to is Corinne Nijjer down in Australia. She tends to have disease reversal stories rather than doctors and nutritionists.
