Our own f1jim told us about how bad the obesity problem is in Mexico last year after his trip there. This article reports that the majority of people in Mexico who have died so far were obese and suffered from obesity-related chronic conditions (Type II diabetes and/or hypertension) and speculates this will be a major factor in how hard the coronavirus hits the population. Sobering stuff!
