EU science funders demand immediate Open Access of completed research papers as well as no publishing in paywall-type journals, which includes many of the most famous like The Lancet, Science, etc.

This is a step in the right direction and hopefully will have momentum and backing by enough of the public to ensure the success. Information that affects public health and policy should be free and accessible immediately.
