Athletic performance and diet.

One if the common fears athletes have about going plant based is both the lack of protein and the performance hit they will take if they make the change. One of our members PM'd me asking for data on plant based nutrition and athletic performance. I quickly found this recent study on the topic. Since it wasn't funded by a protein supplement company or the beef producers I thought it might be relatively unbiased. It correlates with the many anecdotal stories we find about how the opposite results occurred. Jeff Novick probably has even more data. Understand where the money and sponsorships come from in athletics. Usually supplement companies and beer! I am sure there are other such studies......

Her story was so amazing. Runway model, anorexia, drug addiction, pro cyclist, and finally an Olympic medalist in 2012.
