Dr. Oz .. great interview with Alec Baldwin

Postby patty » Sat May 06, 2017 12:20 pm

It was interesting watching Dr. Oz's face, when Alec Baldwin shared he turned his diagnosis of diabetes around by diet, no medical help. He was promoting his book "Nevertheless" and his wife was present and Alec Baldwin had shared her booking "The Living Clear Method" was the book to read. Dr. Oz asked what was in their refrigerator.. it sounded like they are vegan. I downloaded the audio, "Nevertheless" as I was curious about Alec Baldwin's recovery and it is a excellent listen. In AA everyone tells a story of experience, strength and hope by telling how it was and how it is now. I haven't gotten to the part of his diabetic recovery, hopefully it's there but Alec Baldwin's mother had a double mastectomy. I am not sure if New York is one of the states that have the law before signing a consent form prior to a mastectomy, you have to be told you can have a lumpectomy. Dr. McDougall assisted in having that law past in Hawaii when he was living here. The law if in New York could have been passed after and if it was it is important for women post mastectomy and their families to know. Alec Baldwin's story seems more about the acting world, work/money/exploitation. Going deeper he has to have been given a tremendous amount insight to the medical/food/industry and how corrupt it is to every individual's health. "Nevertheless" is a great listen.

in the segment before Dr. Oz had someone promoting fat bombs, to be eaten with a low crab diet. It was like watching Dr. Oz being exposed. Oh well in AA you learn it is God's (God of your understanding) drama, His characters, script, entrances and exits. There's no free will, it is to act as if.

I am not sure if you can watch shows online, afterward.

I checked online for his wife, Hilaria Balwin's recipes and found this: http://images.rodale.com/acc/livingclea ... ecipes.pdf Looks like in some of her recipes eggs and oil are used. I had a feeling it wasn't WFPBNO, as that was why I was cautious to purchase her book. The exercise discipline sounds intriguing. I really have to give it up for Alec Baldwin and what a great win for his family as truth always follows. And I have missed your posting!!! Aging is the Light, is something:)

Find out which fats to eat to shed some extra pounds.
http://www.doctoroz.com/gallery/new-fat-bombs-help-you-lose-weight

Can you eat fats and still lose weight? Dr. Oz and nutritionist Dr. Kellyann Petrucci explain what fat bombs are and guests Lonelle and Cathy share how fat bombs helped them lose weight.

Hilaria Baldwin has found that mindfulness and movement are the keys to a healthy, vibrant life. To achieve and maintain this mind-body connection, Baldwin has developed a method based on five principles: Perspective, Breathing, Grounding, Balance, and Letting Go. And for each one, she has created a recipe for a nutritional food bowl. Here are the six recipes from Baldwin’s book The Living Clearly Method.

Too bad, it's still all about sugar but he didn't realize what kinda fat we're getting from cookies and ice cream etc.

And then we've gotta eat even more "good fats" to lose weight. It's kinda like we better spend money in order to save money, or simply eat more fish in order to save the fish according to this guy from Oceana:

Yes, he definitely is a work in progress. And that is a good thing. In the ending of "Nevertheless" he shares he wrote the book so people would get to know him, but more importantly he will get to know himself. With Alec Baldwin the train has left the station, or is it the station has left the train. He must feel great about the laughter he is able to give today impersonating a illusion of power of fat and oil. He will figure it out and not want what they have.

Yes, that is the same link BBQ posted. It is only partial view of the interview. I didn't catch the part when Hilaria joined Alec and Dr. Oz, I must have been doing something else. I just came back and she was there. This morning I ended up downloading her kindle book "Living Clearly Method: 5 Principles for a Fit Body". When reading the look inside, on Amazon https://www.amazon.com/Living-Clearly-M ... ia+baldwin she shares her hip gave out and ended up on the floor, after a MIR she ended up having 3 pins put in. She was in a wheel chair for 4 months. On Whole Women inc., Christine Kent connects hip problems and healing with exercise. I wonder if she could have accomplished the healing without the pins. Just as Alec Baldwin's mother might have foregone the double mastectomy with a double lumpectomy.

I met someone who had fallen backwards and ended up with a rod in her leg. She is still bed ridden. That was 2 years ago. She had lost her husband, then 3 years ago, her son (he was 45 years old) had was bleeding from his rectum and diagnosed with hemorrhoids, a month later it was 3 stage colon cancer). Hilaria 5 steps, in essence is the putting the basics principles of perspective, breathing, grounding, balance and letting go back into place. As Alec Baldwin shared in the interview her book is the one to get:) At sometime I will gift it as her message is there, as anything take what you want and leave the rest.

This is from Dr. McDougall's "The McDougall Program for Women", where he talks about assisting in passing the law in Hawaii, of women signing a consent form that they were told they could have a lumpectomy vs. mastectomy. https://www.drmcdougall.com/misc/2009nl ... onsent.pdf This was in the early 80s. If my memory is correct in his book "Nevertheless", Alec Baldwin's shares his mother had her double mastectomy in the early 90's. She has created a breast cancer organization to help women. Alec Baldwin is very proud as he should be of her turn around as with his wife.

Funny, in the same show he's promoting the "bone broth" diet and the "caveman diet". Shows he'll promote whatever is popular. One day vegan, other day paleo! Dr. Oz himself is mostly vegetarian, and wife is vegan from what I know.
This link is from Dr. Oz's show website posted above. For some good laughs, watch them:

The stupidity of bone broth is that your GI tract breaks down everything to its component parts. You do not absorb collagen as collagen. You absorb it as amino acids. This idea that because our skin has collagen, you can drink bone broth and the collagen will go your face is ridiculous!! You can easily get the amino acids from beans and rice or some tofu.

Well, at least he should have toned it way down now or else someone might be enjoying his 2nd trip to the Hill:

I think one thing we can ALL agree on is Dr. John McDougall had the best TV program. Telling the truth from the beginning. This kind of show would not do well on network TV today because all he's selling is good health, rice, puh-TAY-tuhs, fruits, and vegetables. No pills/vitamins/powders, No meat/cheese/dairy/sugar/coffee/tea, Not promoting illness definitely does not help big pharma. Have you seen those ads for the diabetes drugs? They don't end! Each one of those drugs cost $400-$700 and many people are on multiple drugs.

https://youtu.be/MeddLohoeiI

HOWEVER, the joke's on THEM because more and more people are watching YouTube where he is, and fewer and fewer are watching the network TV shows.

We love your work, Dr. McD! And how the message has stayed consistent from the very beginning up to now. Each and every book, same message, consistently. In one of the episodes, at a time when everyone was telling everyone to take fish oil, you say unequivocably, not to buy it!

Clothes, hair, and music may have changed, but the message is the exact same.

I only wish I had heard this 20 years ago when I was in medical school. Sadly, that is when I actually switched over from vegetarian to eating meat, because everyone was doing it.

When posting numerous links on the benefits of eating fats/oils for weight loss and health, do you think this may confuse the thousands of people all over the world who come here for information on the McDougall Diet? Maybe post a disclaimer first.
