Brazilian meat scandal

Postby Risto » Tue Mar 28, 2017 4:11 pm

Somehow I didn't see this in the news until now. The police in Brazil is investigating widespread corruption in microbiological safety controls in the meat industries. China suspended meat imports from Brazil for a while, but has resumed them. Fast food chains in Korea and Hong Kong have pulled Brazilian meat from their menus. Large parts of Europe have suspended imports. The exports are a huge business for Brazil, more than 15 billion per year.
