Denise Minger strikes again!

Denise Minger has just published a new article, elaborating on why a vegan diet may not be suitable for many (most?) people: https://authoritynutrition.com/4-reasons-some-do-well-as-vegans/

Even if she was right, the alleged deficiencies could easily be ameliorated by supplementation from vegan sources, so it's clear that she didn't have constructive criticism in mind when she wrote this. On the contrary, even without checcking on the facts the lack of any helpful recommendations makes me wary of the general truthfulness of her claims.

Still, I would really like to know your take on this, specifically on her idea that a substantial part of the population is affected by genetic mutations that restrict the internal synthesis of certain nutrients from plant compounds, and that animal products are needed to deliver the bioactive components directly for this group.

Have you already had patients suffering from nutritional deficiencies when put on a WFPB diet, that needed to supplement specific nutrients in order to thrive on a vegan diet? Or should Minger's warnings rather be regarded as urban myths that may sound remotely plausible, yet lack any objective verification?
