Technically speaking, animals didn't do anything wrong in the first place and our so-called "ownership" might seem to be weird.

I know it's just a tradition, but somehow that's kinda reinforcing the belief it's OK to be kind to a very "special" turkey for this particular moment while still allowing the other birds to destroy the environment for 364 + 1 days annually.

Same deal as Meat Free Monday?

Like going meatless on Mondays.
When you go meatless on Monday,
you essentially contribute
to climate change, pollution
depletion of our planet's
resources and your own health
then only six days of
the week, instead of seven.
You're creating a false justification,
clearly a false justification
for what you're doing
on those other six days.
So in other words, we really shouldn't
be resting on our laurels
of what you do right only
one-seventh of the time.

I don't care much about the adults but aren't they sending some sorta distorted messages to the kids? LOL
