Yeah, they sure did, but not in the way this article suggests.

Further, read the rest of the article, It never ceases to amaze me the conclusions you can arrive at by telling only half the story.

God bless.

An accident is when you accidentally poop in your pants. The US government sacrifices the health of its own citizens for corporate profit, it even bullies foreign nations and most of the globe on behalf of its multi-national corporations. This is all no accident. Governments in capitalist societies sacrifice the public for profit and growth. They know that milk has health risks, if you ever get a chance watch the documentary: Got the Facts on Milk? (2008) it does a good job exposing that.

The US government is not wrong, it is just doing what it has always done assisting large, local corporations. Now if milk could or did suddenly start killing people alot faster and sooner in life, then the government would intervene against milk or those suspected batches of milk. Otherwise it will do nothing against large corporations. It only intervenes to save capitalists from themselves, like a release valve.

...or it would put the same money into science to create milk that doesn't kill people so fast. Corporate interests are not easy to break.

And for what reasons do socialist and communist governments sacrifice their own citizens? For such an awful country, people certainly do make every effort, legal and illegal, to get here to live under such a terrible economic system. But not to worry. The system is becoming more and more socialistic so that should make some happy.

The writer of the linked article made every mistake in the book from every poorly done study that has popped up. No mention that the low fat craze failed because instead of people eating whole foods with little fat and consuming less animal food, they spent lots of time in the super market scouring labels for the fat content of processed junk food.

I did not read all the comments but the first several were from people who are no doubt stuffing themselves with bacon and butter.
