Don Matesz challenges Dave Asprey's bulletproof diet

Postby Spiral » Thu Oct 08, 2015 3:19 pm

In some sense, maybe Don Matesz was wasting his time doing this. But Matesz produced this response to Dave Asprey's bulletproof diet video.

Unfortunately, most people who follow Dave Asprey's advice probably are too locked into their beliefs to consider alternative points of view.

I am too locked into my beliefs to consider asprey's point of view.

He was absolutely correct about one thing he said though. He said if you eat his diet you won't get diabetes (or insulin resistance, I can't remember which) later in life. This is true, You will most likely get it EARLIER in life.

Is Don Matesz the same person known as plantpositive?

Asprey is a major tool and Don does a great job here. I'd love to see Don debate any paleo advocate and would like his odds—unlike Madkey who I think got the worst of it with Nina "big fat surprise" whats-her-name.

My understanding is that Don Matesz and plantpositive are two different people.

From the video:

No surprise: apples, potatoes, grapes, bread
Somewhat surprised: oranges
Really surprised: popcorn!

I guess that comparing to white bread is low hanging fruit.
