whole chia seeds

I just bought a jar for the first time. The label does not say how to store. What do you do? I freeze ground flax seeds but these are not ground so what should I do?

Thanks a lot Kate, I'll do the same. In the morning I hope to enjoy it on my oatmeal.

Cold is good, essential if ground, but intact/whole will keep couple years at room temp from what I remember

Chia seeds don't need to be refrigerated.
And they keep for long and don't need to be ground.
I prefer them to flax because they are so convenient.

One chia seed package says store in a cook dry place away from sunlight.
